Capture points occur most frequently in the Conquest game mode, appearing as a flag. By standing close to this flag, a bar will appear on the player's screen, indicating that the capture process has begun. The current status of a capture point is displayed on the mini-map as an icon of the commanding faction's flag. Some capture points also act as spawn points for the commanding team.
Starting with con_glycencity, mini capture points are also scattered throughout some maps. These provide skill points for capturing them, and sometimes extra ammo and health crates.
Capture points also serve as class-changing stations, just like the Barracks or Armory. When inside the Flag's capture radius, players can bring up the Class selection window (default 'B') and make alterations to their class. Upon accepting, any changes will be applied immediately.
