Overview

Empires currently has a small amount of music, and we are looking to expand on this. Being a freely available mod, there is no budget to pay for a 'professional', so please refrain from posting offers that require such funds. Also note that songs will not be used without express permission from the authors, and authors will receive full credit for their pieces, if used.

Feel free to add yourself or other information to this page.

What is music needed for?

Empires is divided into various segments:

• main menu (probably won't change)
• credits
• pre-game & voting period
• first few minutes ("breakout" period)
• after the first few minutes (currently no music at all)
• countdown to commander sudden death (300 seconds)
• commander sudden-death mode
• NF/Brenodi win (almost national anthem type?)

Potentially, there could be a full in-game soundtrack if enough songs are created. This would be completely optional for the people that don't like music while they play.
