Features
- Implemented Rich Presence for Steam Friends.
- Implemented Discord Rich Presence.
- Changes to the system for issuing commander/squad orders to players:
- Added bounding box around attack/defend/repair targets in the HUD.
- Commander can see all standing orders of selected units.
- Squad orders are now contained within the squad itself. This means players who join a squad with an existing order defined, will also see the squad order.
- Squad order console commands have been consolidated into one context specific command "emp_squad_order", default bind is the "T" key.
- Added experimental tank orders (Basic Tank AI system). Unmanned tanks will attempt to follow the issued move/attack order. (Note: This is very experimental, can be disabled on servers with console command "emp_tank_orders 0")
- Added a Draft phase:
- Player can pick a preferred team
- If no balanced teams can be made, players that picked a team may be left behind in spec.
- Commander voting is done during the draft phase.
- Top two commanders are chosen as commanders for both teams. (team preference is ignored for commanders)
- Team balancing now takes player counts into consideration.
- Added a setup phase where players can select a loadout, join a squad and make plans through voicechat.
- Sudden death is now declared per-team:
- Noteable changes:
- Players can keep spawning.
- Players can keep healing.
- Players can no longer revive.
- Respawn timer increases from 10 to 20 seconds.
- CV still takes increased damage.
- CV is permanently visible on the minimap.
- If both teams sudden death or the time limit is reached:
- If one of the teams doesn't have a CV, game is decided based on flags capped at that moment.
- After a countdown game draws.
- Noteable changes:
- Added BlockTeamNF / BlockTeamBE properties to emp_params that allows mappers to block people from joining specific teams. (blocking both doesn't work)
- Added SetNFSpawnable / SetBESpawnable input to emp_params that allows mappers to block people from spawning. (please use this responsibly)
- Disabled motd on server join.
- If you are dead and can't respawn you will start spectating an overview point.
- The commander vote screen is no longer closable with the X button until the player voted on someone.
- Teams now have a 10 second grace period before the ticket drain starts when losing all Barracks'. A warning message indicating what's happening is shown to the team.
Bug fixes
- Fixed an issue where walls were not being removed correctly, causing servers to reach the entity limit very quickly.
- Fixed an issue with the BE commander model & BE APC model which made the bounding box appear incorrectly in command view.
- Fixed scout hide not being removed when the last bullet in the scout's gun is fired.
- Commander voting is more stable.
- Respawning doesn't require two clicks anymore.
Scripts/Game Balance
- Engineer revive now costs 0.1 ticket.
Other changes
- Reduced total number of squads per team from 26 -> 10.
- Removed the blocking feature that prevents players joining any squad they choose. (Previously you would have to join squads in order they appear in the UI)
